What I can do is thank you all for your prayers and support of what is happening here in Baja. In the last several updates I have asked you all to be in prayer about our Summer and what God would do in the lives of the people of Baja and in the lives of the groups that would come. I am seeing those prayers answered every day.
I also have to thank you all for your patience and understanding of how things work in Mexico some times. All the groups that have come so far have been extremely flexible and willing to roll with things that happen when we seek to do this kind of work.
We have also been extremely blessed with an exceptional team of translators for this summer. Peyton, Sara, Jamie, Misael, and Alejandro have been doing a fantastic job. If you've had the chance to work with them already this summer, I know you were blessed by that opportunity. Even though they most likely won't read this for a while, I want to thank them for their hard work and dedication.
I had the great opportunity to go to Mexico City a few weeks ago to finally finish up my visa application. After spending six hours in the Mexican Immigration office, I was finally given my FM3 visa. This process has been a long one, but I finally have my visa that will be of great aid to many things that we are trying to do with Baja Missions! Thanks to Nelly and Israel for their help and guidance during this long process. Israel is the preacher at the Tlalpan Church of Christ in Mexico City. While were were in Mexico we stayed at their house and had a great time getting to know them and their 3 awesome children. They showed us around Mexico City; which is unbelievably huge (27 million people live there) and unbelievably beautiful. Also, while we were there they had a Bible class at their home. Misael and I got to talk to them about Baja Missions and the City of Children. It was an awesome night and very encouraging to hear their words of support and excitement for what is happening in Baja. I also wanted to take this opportunity to ask you to remember the work that is going on in Tlalpan (which means firm ground in one of the native languages of Mexico). Thanks to Nelly and Isreal for an amazing time in Mexico City.
Thank you all for your support and prayers. There is still a lot of summer left and many more groups are still making preparations for their trips to Baja. Please continue praying for them and what God will do through them and in them!
