It's a busy time as we prepare for summer groups. The arrival of our first summer group is just about one month away. Please be praying for those who will come this summer and for the plans that God has for each group. I love being able to visit churches this time of year because there is a palpable excitement for the summer and what it holds with each one of your visits! We're all very excited and I hope that you are as well.
Last weekend the church in Camalú hosted a three day series of conferences on the early church. They invited brother Alejandro Peralta from La Pesca, Tamaulipas. It was great to meet Alejandro and hear some very meaningful lessons. On Saturday over 400 people from all of the Baja churches as well as many visitors were in attendance. It was a great few days of fellowship. In a great example of team work, on Saturday the church in Camalú fed everyone who came breakfast and lunch.
All of the Baja churches were represented at the conferences in Camalú

This past Sunday Alejandro and I were invited to San Quintin. I was invited to preach and Alejandro was asked to do the class for the teens. I got a little nervous when I got up to speak and realized that there was a full house, but I was extremely blessed by the opportunity. I had a great time being with everyone in San Quintin. Alejandro also said that the teen class went great and was really fun with all the teens' participation.
Alejandro has been working very closely with the teens from Colonia 89 over the past few months, and on Friday he invited them over to our apartment for a devotional. Reyes and his wife, Chanita, brought the teens over and we watched a movie and then had a devtional. After the devo, Alejandro taught them two new songs that they are trying to learn at Colonia 89. We had a chance to spend some time talking and I was so impressed with their desire to learn new songs be together as a group. We had a great time and Alejandro did a great job with the devo.

The movie: Enfrentando a los Gigantes (Facing the Giants) was a big hit!
A group from Murietta, CA. came down this past weekend to the City of Children and spent Sunday at the church in Maneadero where they help support Alfredo and Carmen. Misael went with them and said that they had a great visit and enjoyed some good food and fellowship with their friends at the church in Maneadero.
Gracias for you interest in what God is doing in Baja. Please be praying for our summer groups and for the churches in Baja. Thank God that he allows us to be part of what He is doing!
