We have a very busy week coming up with several visits and projects happening at the same time. The group from Lipscomb University will be arriving on Thursday to Ensenada. They will be spending time in San Quintin with plans of building a house as well as passing out food sets and visiting members in their homes. They also have prepared classes and will be having nightly meetings at the church during their time here. I got a chance to sit down with Pino and Gloria and talk about the details of their trip. The church in San Quitin is very excited to spend time with them and I know that the Lipscomb students have worked hard in preparing for this trip.
Also, arriving on Thursday is a planning group from Cincinnati and Rockvale, TN that will be spending the weekend in Camalu making plans for their summer trip. These trips are extremely valuable because they allow for dialogue between the local congregation and the leaders of the group that will be coming in the summer. It is a great opportunity to make sure that the group from the states is truly meeting the needs of the local congregation and really helps in organization and planning. I am especially excited about this group because my mom and dad will be coming. It is always a great blessing for our family to be together in Baja. You should try it with your family!
Rex Watson will also be bringing a team from Mayfair next week. They arrive next Thursday, the 18th and will be staying until the 22nd. They will also be spending time at San Quintin as well as in Colonet. The group that is coming is mainly the young married class from Mayfair. They have a childrens' day planned for all the kids at the church in San Quintin. They did this last year and it was a huge success. The kids love the singing as well as the games. It is a very fun day.
Thank you all for your support. A special thanks to all those who have helped support the flood relief effort that has been going on, and will continue, here in Baja. Thanks to all those who are planning summer trips and who will be praying for these spring break trips. Have a blessed week!
I leave you with a pair of pictures of Ensenada after a storm.
